South Beach may be facing another long hot summer, but the brand new Lincoln Road Mall Flagship of GAP brands is as cool as it gets with 2 floors of shining, wrap-around windows and over 19,000 square feet of retail space. Taking apart a successful storefront along one of the city’s most popular shopping streets and rebuilding the entire structure from the ground up is an awesome feat for any business, but Senior Vice President Keith Herbert was eager for the challenge. The result is a contemporary limestone structure designed to feature menswear, women’s and children’s clothes plus the brand’s super successful maternity line under one roof.
Adjacent storefronts will feature Gap portfolio brands Athleta and Intermix which makes Michigan Avenue an easy destination for customers to find contemporary sportswear and sporting attire in addition to GapFit, babyGap and GapBody lingerie. The corner flagship shop at 1001 Lincoln Road focuses on women’s clothing on the main floor and has a sweeping staircase that leads to men’s, maternity and kids. Tucked just behind the airy risers of the sleek stairs, comfortable club chairs are fitted with prominent power outlets so guests can relax and recharge their smartphones while they shop.
