Fez Restaurant on Espanola Way
Fez Restaurant on Espanola Way

In the heart of South Beach’s Art Deco District, Espanola Way offers a glimpse of the unique Mediterranean Revival architecture that was quite popular in the city’s early years. This exotic enclave is home to Fez, a new Moroccan restaurant serving the traditional dishes Chef Faycal Bettioui learned in his Casablanca homeland. After working his way through the culinary ranks of some of Miami’s top restaurants, he’s finally invested in a place of his own in the heart of the busy tourist scene. His menu reflects the richness of Florida’s fresh produce with a selection of seafood dishes taking pride of place in entrees like an authentic shellfish tagine and a whole roast branzino plus small plate mezze of grilled octopus and curried scallops.

Transforming the former Miami Beach Cinematheque space, the restaurant offers a romantic oasis of cozy banquettes lit by pierced Moroccan lanterns that transport guests to the Casbah with their warm glow. A variety of hot and cold tapas are perfect for sharing including velvety spreads of roast pepper and eggplant served with warm flatbread. An ideal destination for vegetarians, the kitchen crafts many meat-free dishes including zatar spiced potatoes, spinach rolls with a lemon tahini sauce and sweet beet salad topped with creamy goat cheese. Currently open only for dinner, Fez brings inspired and worldly Moroccan flavors to our sunny shores.
